JSONer does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data or user information.

What JSONer Does:

• All JSON processing happens locally in your browser
• Your JSON data never leaves your device
• No data is sent to external servers
• The extension itself does not implement any analytics or tracking

Note: Our website (jsoner.dev) uses Google Analytics to understand website traffic. This is separate from the extension and does not affect extension users.

Local Storage:

JSONer uses browser's local storage (localStorage) to save:

• Your theme preference (light/dark)
• Your language preference (English/Chinese)
• Your indentation preference (2/4 spaces)
• Recent JSON history (stored locally on your device only)
• Last input content (for convenience)

This data is stored only on your local device and is never transmitted anywhere.

Permissions Explained

JSONer requires the following permissions:

1. storage: To save your preferences locally
2. activeTab: To inject the panel UI into the current tab
3. scripting: To run the extension on web pages

These permissions are used solely to provide the extension's functionality and do not enable any data collection.

Third-Party Services

JSONer does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.

Data Security

Since all data processing occurs locally on your device:

• Your JSON data is never exposed to external networks
• No server-side processing means no data breach risk
• You maintain complete control over your data

Children's Privacy

JSONer does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age.
